| How many trees will be cut down? |
 | We don't have the number of trees, but the environmental study will have
the number of acres of woodland identified. The study has also evaluated
whether any rare species will be impacted, and none have been found. The
only known tree-related issues is the extent to which trees are included
that might provide habitat for the breeding of the endangered Indiana Bat.
There are provisions in place for insuring that projects like this do not
adversely impact this breeding. It is interesting to note that "Ohio's
forested land has tripled since 1910 and now covers 32 percent of the
state's acreage..." (Dayton Daily News, 4/17/05.) |
