Frequently Asked Questions

Answer
What about air pollution from all those trucks, will there be an adverse impact?

For one thing, the trucks will be there whether or not Relocated SR 73 is built. Relocated SR 73 will provide more efficient flow of the truck and other traffic, with less starts and stops, and therefore will have a positive impact on air pollution. Reduction of congestion downtown will also result in less start-and-stop traffic downtown. The air pollution study related to Relocated SR 73 will be that it will be included in the statewide model for statewide air pollution conformity due to be completed in June, 2005. This will be referenced in the SR 73 environmental study document.
