Frequently Asked Questions

Answer
What other environmental impacts will there be, such as impacts on rare, threatened or endangered species?

The only possible impact on rare, threatened, or endangered species is the potential impact on trees that may provide breeding for the Indiana Bat. This is being carefully studied, and impacts will be mitigated to eliminate any danger to the bat. There will also be minimal impacts on streams and wetlands, which will also be mitigated so that there is no net adverse impact. There are also no impacts on listed or eligible properties for the National Register of Historic Places. The primary negative impacts will be to farmland and Ag Districts, and this alternative has less of these impacts than any previously studied alternatives.
